kassiereadsbooks 's review for:
Everyday Sexism
by Laura Bates
Anecdotally strong, however lacks a lot of theory and also adopts the feminism title without acknowledging and commending feminism's radical roots. I just think it needs to be better informed. Offers very few solutions, but poses many problems. I am sure it is empowering by establishing community, but as someone educated specifically in these issues, I didn't find much use for the text. However, it was clearly arranged with care.
