As someone trying to read the Iliad(and failing) I know that Homers poem on the great Trojan war is not the easiest text thorough! Stephen Fry however, does a great job at explaining what exactly went down during this period in history. He does a fantastic job at explaining who everyone is, the roles they played etc and heavily encourages you not to try and remember everything! Which I found to be very useful.

So if you’re looking to read a book about the Trojan war, I’d highly recommend this one!
