NOS4A2
by Joe Hill
NOS4A2 is disturbing, supernatural, sad, and wonderfully written.
Vic McQueen has a gift for finding lost things. Charlie Manx is a "vampire" who feeds on the souls of children. Vic's gift is put to poor (or fortunate) use when she finds Manx and escapes. Years later, after living a humanly flawed life Vic has to face Manx again when her son is taken.
I felt elements of King's writing style and I couldn't help but think of "Christine" regarding the possessed car theme but I love how imaginative this story is. There is a lot of character development that I appreciated. Hill definitely brought his own talent to the table. If you're looking for a perfect Christmas/Winter horror, I highly suggest picking this one up.
