I adore the Starfell series and I loved Willow Moss and the Magic Thief. It felt a little bit more somber than the previous books - it's not hard to tell that it was written during the pandemic - but to be fair that worked perfectly for Willow's story. 

The illustrations by Sarah Warburton were as ever stunning and perfectly complemented the story. I've rarely read a series where the writing and illustrations go so perfectly together, especially when they're done by different people. The naked hardcover is simply beautiful. 

My favourite of the series remains Willow Moss and the Vanished Kingdom, but I highly recommend all four books. If you like children's fantasy books, put this series at the top of your list.
