I guess out of all the Joe Hill books I've read so far, this one didn't have the same creativity as the the others. For as thick as it is, I read it quickly, so it's a page turner for sure! And I really loved the characters Nick and Renee. But I think the book title is named after the most forgettable of the characters. Okay, maybe not forgettable, but I feel like John was just... bland.
Either way, that didn't stop this from being quite the post-semi-apocalyptic adventure and a fun read. What it lacked in some weak characters, it made up for with a fun to read story.
