I had no clue what this book was about going into it, I bought it over a year ago because I thought the cover was really pretty. 🤷🏼‍♀️
I thought the overall premise of the book was great. I liked the main characters for almost all of the book and I thought the world was a very interesting one. I thought the world building was a little lacking at times. I wouldn’t have minded the book being 20 extra pages if it meant learning more about the world the book was set in. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of the “mushy” ending as I am calling it. The character development and the development of their relationships to each other was really well done until the last 40 pages or so, in my opinion.
Overall it was a very good book and I’m just nitpicking. Definitely looking forward to the next book!
