This is my first read along with @tandemcollectiveglobal and I was so excited to read this book with 19 others Canadian bookstagrammers. What a story. I was warned ahead of time that it is a heavy book. It gave me all the feels such as anger, sadness, frustration and hope. Great first story written by @LeilaMottley. Kia’s character was, wow! What a strong, resilient and brave young woman! Its hard to believe that Leila started writing this at the age of 17. Loved the writing and the flow of the story. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for this author.
