This book let me know that I really like vacation romances! It’s one of my new favorite tropes. I really liked Jordyn, she reminded me a lot of myself. It took me a VERY long time to warm up to Amir though. I hated him for most of the book. The cocky, charming guy will never be my type. And he was constantly downing other women to up Jordyn. He was always saying stuff like “Jordyn’s body is real unlike them other fake females” or “All these other girls too loud and extra, Jordyn is laid back and chill”. Like if the other women you dated were like that then it’s because you picked them🙄 I didn’t start being okay with him till about 70% in the book. He’s not someone I would pick for myself, but Amir and Jordyn worked really well together, so I did root for their relationship. I’ll definitely be picking up more Tay Mo’Nae books.
