In Safe Keeping

Book safety, content warnings, and tropes down below.
The premise for this book was really good and I was really hoping for something great. It kept piling on the drama, trauma and action, but it never actually made me feel anything. I felt so detached from the story and characters, and I didn’t even care about the baby or the dog.

It’s a perfectly okay story, but it blows when you know it could’ve been really good if only there was some emotion in it. It also felt like Owen couldn’t have cared less about Lucas at times. The ‘romance’ felt very one-sided.
