I was very excited to start this book. I finished the first in the series, The Apothecary, and was itching for more. When I looked up the author, I was pleased to find out there were two more books about Janie and Benjamin’s adventures! However, this book doesn’t quite have the same amount of excitement and “magic” as the first. The story is very spread out and you have to keep track of a ton of different characters. Nevertheless, I was happy to read about Janie and I’m excited to see where the third book takes her.
