A large part of this book is not about megalodons at all but instead about general fossil hunting and sharks, as well as a random chapter dedicated to a man who, while impressive, seemed to only be in the book due to his penchant for megalodon teeth.

Furthermore some of this book, in an effort to be understood by a wider audience, feels simplified to the point of inaccuracy, and it is hard to tell which citation is linked to which information to confirm understanding. Ironically there are some parts that are not simplified that really could be explained better for a wider audience as well.
