Sunsets & Somedays

3.5 stars really. So I have enjoyed quite a few books in both of the first two releases over the last year or so. This current batch of releases in the series have been more hit or miss for me. This book however grabbed me right away! I really felt for the characters and could feel the emotions in their choices as the story went along. Even if I didn’t agree with some of the decisions they made. The story had some predictable points, but there was one twist that I did not see coming at all! I really liked that and how it influenced the way the story went.
Overall it was a good story. I had some issues with the writing, for instance something I complain about a lot, when authors don’t use contractions. When my brain is reading the dialogue it sounds stilted and weird to me and then I stumble over those parts, which takes me out of the story and slows my reading pace down. There were also a few things that didn’t seem realistic to me in how certain characters might behave, and a few characters that were kind of thrown in that we might have known from other books in the series, and I wish they’d been woven in a little more naturally or given us more with them.
