The Courage to be Disliked: The Japanese phenomenon that shows you how to free yourself, change your life and achieve real happiness
by Fumitake Koga, Ichiro Kishimi
This was a tough book to persevere with. The way in which the book is presented, an ongoing conversation between a philosopher & a youth is at times clunky & awkward… & yet amongst the going back & forth, there is some real gold. Maybe it was the translation that made it seem oddly cringy, but I did manage to push through & use my new Kobo to highlight many inspiring thoughts spoken between the two.
