Oof. Over-written and yet nothing is explained. The protagonist and antagonist are so much alike that it was hard to separate them. This feels like an Erin Morgenstern book, and I'm not a fan of her, but even still, not quite there. It's reaching and falls short. I think others will like this but not for me.
