I love book featuring an alternate London where not everything is what it seems. Somehow it reminded me of Simon R Green's Secret Histories, a compliment as I'm a huge fan of Green.
There's an interesting world building and Joan evolution is quite interesting. I didn't like her at the beginning but she grew on me.
The characters are interesting and the plot is faced and action packed.
Can't wait to read another book by this author.
