It's interesting when you pick up a book by the cover and the blurb because you never know what to expect especially if it's a new to me, author, as Shey Stahl is for me.
When you hear about rock stars musicians romance book, most of them are following the same path, with broken main characters and the addictions they have and the angst from which they draw their inspiration ,usually they are older characters as well, but in this book i was surprised to find much more than all that I've said before.
Revel is a tortured soul that even if he still does everything you expect him to do from a famous rock star, he has a heart that gave it to the wrong person apparently, and now even if he has to be near her constantly, he is still suffering from that betrayal and at times i was thinking that he might want revenge as close proximity and his lingering addiction to drugs and alcohol can mess up with one's head.
Taylan (love this name) is the pop princess that her father made from her childhood and she is the exact opposite of Revel, where he is destroying himself,she is trying to be healthy in body and mind ,but who wouldn't lose their mind if you have to travel and stay next to a rock king?
No matter how cruel and rude he is with her, or he was in the past, when they are alone, he shows her another face of him, and that's where this story is different because he is not afraid to show her what he wants, what he really is and how his mind and heart works,i just swoon over him.
A love story that will stay with me because it was different, from the way the characters are talking ,the growing of each character through their thoughts, the banter between all of them, the twist and turns that are revealed with each chapter,the chemistry between the MC that is there all the time,even if they don't want to acknowledge it or are not aware of it in the beginning, to what love can do for two opposite souls that need each other to heal and find happiness.
