Okay, I'm going to be harsh on this one because as an X-Phile and a teen librarian, I was really looking forward to this book. The writing didn't flow, I kept getting the feeling the author didn't really know how to write for teens (even though she's the co-author of the Beautiful Creatures series??), and I know teens are smart enough to figure things out on their own, but we were beaten about the head with explanations of the obvious. Also, Mulder didn't feel like Mulder. Sure he's a teen in his senior year and not the dry-humored, cynical man we meet in the show, but I did not get that X-Files feeling here.
