“A second chance? I thought. A second chance is what criminals get. I knew I wasn’t a criminal; I did what I had to do to survive and save my family.”

In Order to Live was the most raw biography I've read. How can you rate such a personal book? There was no holding back from Park. She gave her whole story and let us live her life with her. I was happy to see some of her family pictures in In Order to Live . Her life showcases some of the major problems that exist in our world. Human depravity is at it's most raw in In Order to Live . The world is cold and cruel. I cried multiple times throughout reading this story. We hear about North Korea but we aren't really listening. This was an emotional rollercoaster ride. We see the very bad of human nature, but we are also gifted with glimpses of the good that we humans can be.
