I liked the previous instalment in the Argeneau series but this novel is amongst my favorite.
I loved Allie and I loved her relationship with Magnus. There's a lot of chemistry between this characters and I rooted for them.
The plot was engrossing and entertaining, it kept me hooked till the end.
Even it's the 30th instalment in this series I think it can be read as a stand-alone.
It was an entertaining read and I highly recommend it.
