Verity by Colleen Hoover
4.0

Lowen’s mother just died of cancer and she has a meeting to go to. On her way to her meeting a guys head gets crushed under a truck and blood gets splattered all over her shirt and face. She meets a stranger on the street who helps her get cleaned up and offers his shirt. She makes it to the meeting and runs into the stranger once again. He is the husband to Verity Crawford, a famous suspense writer. Verity has been in accident and needs a co-writer, but the public doesn’t know the severity of Verity’s injuries. Lowen is given an offer that is hard to refuse and she eventually ends up taking it. With being evicted from her apartment, she goes to Vermont to their home to go through Verity’s office so she can find things for the next three novels. She ends up finding an autobiography and things change. Everything is not as what it seems.
Verity is definitely a creepy novel and you don’t know what it true and not true. I loved the chapters that showed the autobiography and how chilling they were. Then having to figure out if Verity was faking or not. I loved it. I do feel like the ending was not super satisfying.
