One of the first ya books that portrays teens talking about mature issues like relationships and navigating through them. Their discussions have a lot of depth which I think some authors don’t show because they think teenagers might not be interested in it, when they are. I especially like how the MC is with her crush, I think it was very relatable and very real. Just like the rest of the book!
