Demon
by Joel Abernathy
"You're good for me, and maybe I'm a little bad for you. That's all that really matters."
Hands down my favorite.
Luca is the brother I was asking questions about especially after what we learn in Devil.
Being Married to a woman doesn't necessarily mean you can't change.
Labels are just that, if you don't believe in them then what difference does it make.
Jame & Luca were right out the gate my favorite, just from a few pages of their interaction I was hooked.
James may be a monster as said by everyone but would a monster truly go to the lengths that he does for Luca. Granted Silas is a deciding factor in all of this but then again after awhile that fades to the background too and all that is left is what and who is right in front of him.
I said it with the first book and I will say it with this one, Mafia is always great but then you add an the M/M factor and you got me.
This was an angsty one though and it was surprising but then again with what goes down, it can't not be. Add in the thrilling aspects of the situation and it makes the whole book more and then we get that unexpected scene where it all begins and then wham it is all there until the end.
These two had it all.. the tortured past, the unwilling to see your worthy of love, the will to push past what was in the past and who you are and were.
Monsters deserve love too, but when it's from someone you least expect, that's when it is all that much more better.
