Hood
by Jenny Elder Moke
DNF.
Hood is about Isabelle, who is Robin Hood’s secret daughter. Even Isabelle doesn’t even know who her father is. However, after shooting a solider in her home town, she is forced to flee from the Wolf who is hunting her because she is Robin Hood’s daughter. As she flees she becomes entwined with The Merry Men in Sherwood. From there she tries to become one of The Merry Men.
Hood has a great premise for a retelling of Robin Hood. I felt that some of the writing felt juvenile. I felt bored at times and didn’t feel connected with any of the characters.
