Okaaaay HOLY PLOT TWIST at the end! I need details on when book three comes out. Book one was decent but book two was where the writing started to really get GOOD and make you feel things deeply the way any good fantasy book should. I started to care for the characters (and really started to loath Midas). Seeing Auren start to truly grow into herself. Amazing. And frustrating. Talk about Goldfinch (on and off again) growing some wings! Oh. And. The wrath and the lessons they teach. Also Rip. Man. Commander Rip. Mysterious as always. This new and improved retelling of King Midas is GOOD y’all!
