A Tale of Two Princes by Eric Geron
1.0
lighthearted fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Canada decides to make not!Harry and not!Megan its King and Queen. The two have twins but think the eldest died, but Billy was given to the wrong couple and grew up on a ranch in Montana. The younger prince, Edward, has been raised his entire life to be the Crown Prince, but after twins meet Parent Trap style, Edward has his Crown Prince style taken away.

In the first place, I was (unreasonably?) upset that the parents so easily put Edward aside after years of training for someone who grew up in the USA and knows nothing about Canada, much less about being royalty.

In the second place, this book skips over so much healthy communication. Characters will have a falling out and then just not talk to each other until suddenly one forgives the other and everything is fine. Or characters will just go from not believing to believing another character for no apparent reason. Essentially, this book just sets things up and then resolves them, it doesn't spend much time at all in the the dealing with how things have gone to $hit portion of a plot.
