Just Listen

*4.5
Trigger Warning - Rape and sexual assault, bullying, eating disorders
It’s official, I’m in love with Sarah Dessen. I’ve read three books so far from her, and each one has been fantastic ([b: Saint Anything|23009402|Saint Anything|Sarah Dessen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1414680105l/23009402._SY75_.jpg|42576172], [b: Lock and Key|1295102|Lock and Key|Sarah Dessen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1479691949l/1295102._SY75_.jpg|1284222], and Just Listen).
All of these books left such an emotional impact on me, and all of them I could relate to on some form. She’s such a good writer, and so far, I’ve cried in the two of the three books I’ve read from her (teared up in the other). [a: Sarah Dessen|2987|Sarah Dessen|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1372181953p2/2987.jpg] has such a way with words, and makes me feel so many different emotions while reading her works.
This one wasn’t any different. The main character Annabel goes through so much development throughout this book, and learns to cope with things in such a different way than in the beginning. Owen is an adorable, swoon worthy, “bad boy” love interest who loves music, and likes heavy metal and punk rock *swoons*.
Maybe this book is a bit cliché, but definitely in a good way. I loved this book with my whole heart, and I’m so excited to read all of Sarah Dessen’s books,
