Pan's Conquest by Aubrie Dionne
4.0

Pan's Conquest is a quick read about romance between two very unlikely gods. Pan- the God of Fertility and Syrinx- the God of Chastity. Pan has pursued her for a long time. So much so in fact that Syrinx escaped their land to start over as a mortal on earth. The book starts out in their native forest and Pan is a bit of a horn dog player, and Syrinx is not having it. Sure, she is fighting off his pull, but she still doesn't want anything to do with him.

Syrinx becomes a florist on earth and she really enjoys her business, but she doesn't date ever. In fact, she has nothing to do with men. She only has one friend on earth; her assistant at the shop. I really did like her friendship, but one friend and a job isn't enough for her life. So when a handsome big client comes to the shop and takes an interest in Syrinx, her friend is all for it. She practically pushes him in Pan's lap.

What I liked about Pan's Conquest was that we got to see what Pan was like before and what he was like when he was in his mortal persona. And you could really see a big change in him. I loved the connection that he had with his butler. It was so sweet. Plus we really did get to see a softer side of him the more he got to know Syrinx. This was a Pan that I was rooting for. Back in the forest he was just looking for another notch on his belt, but on earth we get to see a change in him. Will it be something more for him? Will it work out with Syrinx? Pan's Conquest is a quick and fun read. I felt myself really connecting with the characters in just a short while and I was really rooting for them.
