Red Goblin Vol. 1: It Runs In The Family by Alex Paknadel, Alex Paknadel, Jan Bazaldua
3.0
I rolled my eyes when this title was first announced, but it’s not that bad. At first I was very critical of how bland Normie was as a protagonist (and he’s still pretty bland by the end), but the realization that Rascal’s habit to immediately lash out at anyone and anything comes from watching Normie was a great way to subtly flesh out the character. The lesson “bad dogs come from bad owners” makes Normie and Rascal an interesting duo and I genuinely hope to see more of them in the future. I just hope their stories focus more on their own self improvement and not that of their grandfather.
