Laurie gets on a bus, sees a man through the window with a book waiting for another bus. Then he looks up and they lock eyes. Is it love at first sight? Laurie believes so but the bus pulls away before either can make a decision of what to do.
A year goes by of searching every face for this man and just when she's given up hope she finds him again... Introduced as Jack, her best friend -Sarah's boyfriend.
What follows is 10 years of Laurie getting to know Jack, becoming friends and one mistaken, drunken kiss. There is a lot of heartache on both Laurie and Jack as they fall in love without being able to do anything about it.... They don't want to hurt Sarah.
I loved all these characters. I felt for them, I laughed and cried with them. It pulls you through so many emotions.
