This book was not such a great read for me. I found myself constantly confused by all the people in the book. The messing of the two families caused me to be confused a lot of times of who was married with who and who was upset with whom. However, the storyline is one that is common in this day in age, since 50% of marriages end in divorce. I think that number increases each year. The part about the husband of one of the children telling the story of these separate but joined families was heartbreaking. This book reminds me of when The Haunting of Hill House meets Chesapeake Shores.
