Sal and Gabi Break the Universe is a wonderful middle grade book. I loved so many parts of the this: the school, Gabi & Sal, their families, the Cuban influences! It is such a well-crafted story, and not like I expected it to be. There were just so many great elements in this. Keeping this brief because I made a full video review, but know that I was so pleasantly surprised by this and it had me tear up. I cannot wait for the sequel next year. Thoroughly enjoyed and could not recommend enough.
