The Age of Witches
by Louisa Morgan
Strong female characters, pushing societal norms, feminism and some witch craft mixed all tied together with historical fiction - this is a neat glimpse into NY and English society in the late 1800s.
Interestingly, this book takes place in a similar time period and similar locations as "The Address" by Fiona Davis - both have some scenes set at The Dakota in NYC and Blackwell's Island. Though the stories themselves are quite different, it's neat that they happen to be connected and I read both books in the last couple months.
