Frankly in Love by David Yoon
4.0

This book had me feel all of my feelings so hard! I listened to this on audio (but had to share my actual copy because I am obsessed with this cover??) this book talks a lot of family dynamics, cultural differences, and family expectations. I really liked all of the characters. I liked that you saw them kind of grow up throughout their last year of high school and as they started college. The fake dating scheme (chefs kiss we love this trope) was great and of course, it got messy. I didn’t love what happened at the wedding (iykyk) but I got over it and kept reading! This book felt really long but also went by quickly. I was crying through the end and was sad to say goodbye to the characters once it was done. Joy was my favorite character, she had really fun hair and also I loved moments with her in them, I don’t know why I loved her so much but she was my fav! Overall, this is a good read! It covers deep topics very well and taught me a lot but it covered them in a way that fit so well with the tone of the story. I really liked the narration, I don’t listen to too many male narrators so it was definitely a change for me!
