The main character of this story was wildly naive and technologically illiterate for a late 20-something, who by all accounts would have been a millennial. She was oblivious to so many obvious tells, red flags and giveaways and then her friends basically solve the mystery and find a resolution for her. I could not stand her and the want for a resolution was the only thing keeping me reading. I loved the representation of different experiences and backgrounds but otherwise Advika was a very boring narrator. The mystery and the situation seemed to be very low-stakes and again she was just that dull to be unable to do deep research into a sensitive topic without masses of assistance.
The plot moved too fast, there was a massive cast of characters who didn't have much impact, a lot of red herrings, and a too-convenient wrap-up of the main conflict. Very disappointed with it honestly.
