Another somewhat conflicting read for me. There were elements of this book that I enjoyed but also elements that fell flat. I think overall, this book just was not as good as I was hoping for it to be.

That being said, I do think that Woodfolk's writing is extremely strong and vivid. I just think that the plot and story was not one for my liking. I will however, be looking out for her future books to see if I can connect to them more.
