In this seventh book of the Anita Blake saga, Anita is recruited by the fire captain to help solve a series of mysterious arsons. There is an issue that involves Anita and the wereleopard pard, an issue with the werewolf pack, an assault against Jean-Claude, and the insufferable Richard makes another appearance. The death toll in this book was surprisingly small in comparison with some of the earlier books, but it was a good book overall.
