I thought this was a really well-researched, often fascinating examination of a little known author's life. However, Byrne's overemphasis on Pym's romantic relationships was sometimes frustrating and got in the way of the full arc of Pym's life - some events were overemphasized and others were rushed, despite this being SO long. Still, it was an enjoyable read overall and made me want to pick up any Pym books I can find.
