Holy crap this is an important book. So many important conversations and topics in this book about queerness, those who gatekeep it, the way fear and accusation of queerbaiting now forces people out, maybe before they're ready, etc. Also, as I sent to a friend when I was maybe 100 pages in: "Okay the "I'm a straight girl who thinks about how I'm a straight girl and couldn't possibly be queer" vibes are hitting home 😂😂😂" because legit, Imogen's internal debate was very familiar. Thank you, Becky Albertalli for writing what I can imagine was an important and likely difficult book for you. It will make a difference, and it made me feel seen.
