Though this came out before the graphic novels, I read it after reading the 3 heartstoppers and tbh, I expected more. It felt like the love and chemistry between Nick and Charlie was too off and their dialogues didn't seem like how they talk otherwise either. This is probably because of the graphic novels coming out after this novella and Oseman probably developed the intricacies layer, and I understand that. But still, if I'd read this before the graphic novels, I probably wouldn't be as excited about Heartstopper as I generally am.
