I loved this setting much more than I did the setting of the second book. Therefore, I enjoyed everything a bit more. I liked the action, and I liked the developments in the story and the world.

Oh and that little story after the note from the author.. that was just gross! But hey, it's Darren Shan, so what else to expect (:
