TheResistance: Uprising
by J. Michael Straczynski
A even darker look into what a man with too much power and no regard to human life can do.
After the events of the last one, the world needs a new uprising from the Reborns. But the thing with that is the president doesn't want to lose his power. So he decides to take a stand and form his own group of "heroes" or reborn people to be on his side to keep everything in check. This leads to creating basically a super villain group. Now we're dealing with if super villains were a actual group as well in a more grounded way.
I really enjoyed this volume. The start was a bit slow and I kind of forgot who was who. But once it begins to come together it really shines with the world building and character motivation. By the end of the story we have a major fight, plenty of people die, and it all feels so grounded and real.
The art at times can be a bit hard to follow and it is a wordy story, so be prepared, but if you get invested I think you'll love it! A 4 out of 5.
