I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. I don’t really read thrillers very often. But it turned out to be a fascinating mini character study of both the narrator, Korede, and her serial killer sister, Ayoola. The narrative is structured in a slightly non-linear way, which I enjoyed. And there were some little moments of humor that were unexpected but enjoyable. I would definitely recommend reading this book if it looks at all interesting to you!
Graphic: Child abuse, Death, Murder
Moderate: Domestic abuse, Blood
