Expectation by Anna Hope
4.0

This book follows 3 women, looking at their pasts and the expectations they and others set upon themselves, and the reality that occurs as they progress through adulthood. I thought this was quite a raw and gritty depiction of life as a modern woman. I particularly liked Cate’s story and the way that motherhood was represented. This book wasn’t particularly plot heavy, but focused more on character, and the imperfections of humanity. Well written and thought provoking.
