Carmen Maria Machado is my kinda weird. A lot of the stories feel straight up absurd or nonsensical -- a lot is left up to the reader to extrapolate meanings. Regardless if I understood what she was trying to say, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in each story. Her writing just hits right.
