In terms of quality, this book deserves at least four stars. The writing is top notch, and the characterization gets you 100% into the mind of Hagar Shipley, the aging, persnickety main character.

In terms of my enjoyment, I can't rate this book any higher than two stars. There are no words with which I can fully get across my frustration about Hagar. She's so stubborn, rude, and unforgiving. She cares so much about what everyone else thinks, yet she chooses time and time again to hurt those around around her. I found her simply unbearable.
