librarianlayla 's review for:
Throne of Glass
by Sarah J. Maas
3/3.5 stars.
It's taken me a long time to get around to this series, and unfortunately it hasn't gripped me as much as I had hoped.
I enjoyed the premise of the story, however the writing style didn't draw me in.
I felt that there were so many contradicting personality traits within the main character of Celaena, that it gave me no idea of who she is. It was as if she was three different characters mashed together as one and didn't really make sense.
The most interesting characters Chaol and Nehemia weren't featured enough in my opinion.
I've already purchased book two and three in the series as it had been so highly recommended to me, so I'm hopeful that they will be better.
