Unfortunately, I liked The Vision Vol. 2 a hair less upon reread. This series is fantastic. However, there were a handful of moments where Tom King's narration overwhelmed the page. I wish he had allowed the reader to sit with the powerful imagery more rather than narrate them.

Despite that, I still think this volume and the series as a whole are absolutely amazing. Its blend of horror and domestic tragedy was perfect and these characters will continue to sit with me for a while.

I don't know what to say. I'm in awe of King's storytelling. His ability to manipulate my emotions so thoroughly. I don't think an artistic work has shaken me this year like The Vision has.

The characters are so real, sympathetic, and relatable. I wanted to burn the world for this family. I was crying real live tears by the end of this.

King somehow balances this heartbreaking story with an eerie unsettling atmosphere. The narrative style and art direction gave me chills. Even though the Vision family was played entirely sympathetic King did play up the ominous atmosphere a family of androids can give off. The story went dark and I loved it for that.

This was an excellent graphic novel and I hope to see works with this level of creativity and ingenuity in the future.
