After finishing the book, I realized what it reminded me of: Twilight. This book is Twilight with a male lead instead of a female. This book is not that great, but Black Frost (which I've already listened to on audible, thinking it was a stand alone book) is pretty good. This book is so immaturely written. I'm actually surprised it is so popular. I'm going to finish the series because I enjoyed Black Frost, and my friend told me to listen to this series, but MAN! This book feels like it is written by a child, and I don't even want to start on the terrible voice acting.

It's like he doesn't understand what inflection is or how to use it properly. Randomly in the middle of a sentence? Nope. That's not how it works. Everything sounds like a question, and yet, a statement. It is odd and annoying to listen to. It is driving me insane.

I'm already half way through the next book, and man. These characters are children. It is written like a teenagers fan fiction. It isn't a bad thing, but it's a starting point, but not something to truly praise like it's some great piece literature.
