The Boundless by Kenneth Oppel
4.0

This was quite the ride! Normally books that take me this long to read end up rating kind of low because I only finished them for the sake of checking it off the list. But this book, though it took a little over a month, is inches from a five star rating. It was just so fabulous!

I ticked a star off for some language (there wasn’t much, but this is a middle grade) and the writing. Towards the end, it got really chaotic with so much going on, and some of the things that took place didn’t feel satisfying because they happened too quickly/didn’t get the proper attention they deserved. All things considered though, it was still a fabulous ending. The author had a lot of lose ends to tie up, and he did so well. I just think it could have been polished a bit.

The pages came to life, and it had just about everything anyone could ask for. Action, adventure, intrigue. A daring trapeze artist, a stunningly artist boy, mountain chases and wild creatures in an alternate, mysterious America. It was vibrant and fantastic, and I highly recommend it!
