This one had some seriously creepy vibes going in. "I'm going to creep on this woman who was in a massive wreck whose information I only have because of the job I got fired from and then I'm going to peer pressure my not-quite-friend at the company into giving me her check and then present it to her like a reward when she's done helping me" kind of creepy vibes.

But of course, it's all good because they're falling in love...

Like, this guy isn't a huge Christmas nut or anything, but then sees all the Christmas books and thinks he just has to cash in on that and write a Christmas book that he thinks will make him rich even though he's never written a book before. And of course, the woman is all about Christmas. Then there's the uncle, and a car wreck, and a new step-dad, and some other random crap thrown in there. Overall, it's alright, but it's nothing special.

This story did not boost my holiday mood. It left me feeling more than a bit cynical and a little depressed.
